About Us

We are a group of creative and collaborative folks who are working together to create a meaningful experience for our community members as Nomkhubulwane visits Montana. It is our hope that the connections made through innovative events and honest conversations will lead to personal and community actions that honor the mission of Nomkhubulwane.

When Nomkhubulwane leaves Montana and asks, ”What will you do to change the way you live?”, it is our intention that we will individually and collectively pledge actions that will make our world a better place to live, work and play!

“I love the whole concept of Project Nomkoo.  Combining cultural, artistic, and international elements to enhance understanding and awareness of environmental issues provides diverse opportunities to engage individuals of all ages and interests.  Working to facilitate collaboration amongst all sectors – community, organizations, schools, universities, governments, and business, is critical for sustainable systemic change to occur —- This is why I am involved.”

Nomkhubulwane Bozeman
Gail Donau, Designer -Donau Designs-

”Project Nomkoo touched me on many levels. Public Art should be an important part of the Bozeman experience. It inspires us, particularly when the art has another message. There is a lesson to be learned when you see a massive pile of materials most of us discard with very little thought. If we use this piece of art as an educational tool the lasting effects will benefit the ‘overall health of the planet.’ Nomkoo inspires us to think in new ways about what is trash or treasure and move us forward with conversations for solutions.”

Kristin Summers

“Through Engineering, and now Education, I have spent several years researching possible avenues for environmentally friendly actions.  Whether it was through creating fuel cells and modifying solar panels, or teaching students about recycling and growing trees, sustainability has always been a part of my life.  Project Nomkoo enables all age levels to come together in this effort.  One person may not have a dramatic effect on the earth, but a community will!”
