Earth Anthems Concert
Project Nomkoo invites our community to join us for
Earth Anthems Concert
Tuesday August 17
6:30 – 8:30
Bogert Park
With a summer backdrop of the wonderful Farmer’s Market, you can enjoy the best of the valley’s food, crafts and products while listening to original music by local performers.
Three local bands, Scott Evje, One Leaf Clover and Cure for the Common, will compete to create the ultimate “earth anthem”. The bands will play several of their known songs as well as debut their earth anthems to be judged by local dj’s, Project Nomkoo, and the audience. The winning band will receive a prize package featuring a Gibson Hummingbird Pro acoustic electric guitar, considered to be a true legend of acoustic instruments first introduced in 1960.
Earth Anthems is coordinated by MSU student Kristin Summers under the mentorship of Tate Chamberlin. Says Summers, “Nomkoo’s message is very important and the desire to help the earth needs to be promoted at every age. I am particularly excited about the Earth Anthems Concert, because it targets an age group that is often overlooked. I am hoping that the concert will inspire teenagers, young adults, and their families to figure out what they can do to practice a sustainable and earth friendly lifestyle.”
Earth Anthems Concert is a great community opportunity to hear inspirational music and celebrate the earth.
See you there!
